Experience

 

James Darcy learned air-to-air photography in a military flight test environment two decades ago, and has been applying the same standards of safety, professionalism and detailed preparation to his work ever since.

 

His photos have appeared in scores of ad campaigns, in hundreds of media outlets on six continents, and on more than a dozen magazine covers including Aviation Week, Air & Cosmos, Flug Revue, Rotor & Wing and Army Aviation.

 

Darcy began air-to-air photography as a featured part of his job during a decade of Public Affairs leadership roles for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, servings as Public Affairs Officer for aircraft such as the V-22 Osprey, F/A-18A-F, E/A-18G, E-2C/D and X-31.

 

As Public Affairs Officer for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, he led the Visual Information Department responsible for air-to-air photo and video of all Navy/Marine Corps developmental test flights.

 

Visual storytelling in the air remained a passion for him during 14 years in executive communications roles for EADS and Airbus, including as Airbus’ Vice President of Communications for the U.S. and Latin America.

 

His experience as a seasoned communications professional lends a unique perspective to his work for corporate clients, whose specific storytelling needs he has experienced and can anticipate.
